Word Clouds in education

Word clouds are one of the best ways of visualizing the information. 

We used Tagxedo - one of existing Web Services 2.0

Tagxedo turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text.

Teachers can use this service as it provides the better understanding some themes, it gets the students interested.

Social bookmarking

    According to Wikipedia a social bookmarking service is a centralized online service which enables users to add, annotate, edit, and share bookmarks of web documents.

    In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

    There exist a number of such sites (List of social bookmarking websites). We worked with Delicious.
